Overview
Data Jelly is a new approach to integrating the different
software applications and systems your organization uses. Data Jelly is a fully
managed, web-based product, so that your organization does not need to
purchase any servers, equipment, software, nor hire and train any staff
to manage them.
The basic premise behind Data Jelly is that a file is uploaded from your system
in its native format. Various rules and transformations are configured
within Data Jelly to convert that data into a secondary format, which can
then be downloaded into the destination system with ease. Data Jelly will not only transform
the data, but will also validate and provide alerts when corrupt data is found.
Historic information is always easily accessible by logging in, and previous
data sets can be downloaded and reviewed.
You will need to create a feed within Data
Jelly for each file that you intend to upload and process. Within each feed,
you configure the expected input and output formats, including the type of file
(CSV, XML, etc.) as well as the data fields that can be found within. From
there, you define the transformations that must be applied to the data. Lastly,
you configure the schedule on which the feed should run, or you may indicate that
the feed will be run whenever a new file is uploaded.
The page-by-page help (accessed from the left panel) provides details about
how to configure each of these steps.
